WEATHER WATCH: The weather this week is forecast to be varied with much colder temps and winter weather. Please send children in layers with coats and weather appropriate footwear. Wednesday and Thursday, February 4th & 5th we welcome parents to come visit our school to meet with your student's teacher and see what they have been learning this year! Appointments should be scheduled in advance through Skyward or directly with the teacher. The Book Fair will also be open both evenings until 6:30pm.

New Eagle Mountain Elementary School Boundary Study
A new Eagle Mountain Elementary Elementary School will be opening in the fall of 2026. The boundaries of this school will directly impact the boundaries of Desert Sky Elementary. Alpine School District has a website where you can see the proposed options and provide feedback on the recommendations.

If desired, patrons can attend one of two scheduled open houses to ask questions regarding proposed boundary adjustments and potential school closure. Please note, these meetings are intended for informational purposes only and do not serve as forums for public feedback.

Halloween Parade and Costumes:

Halloween costume guidelines
We will have our Halloween Parade on Friday, October 31st at 9:30. Parents are invited to come and celebrate this time with us. As you begin to prepare your child’s costume below are some guidelines to keep in mind. If you have any questions, regarding costumes, we encourage you to reach out in advance.

No gore and/or excessive blood.
No weapons (real, fake or images of)
No Alcohol or Drugs depicted or otherwise displayed.
Entire faces should not be painted.
Costumes should not make fun of, stereotype groups of people, or be considered offensive.
Costume masks can only be worn during the parade. Not before, not after.
The school reserves the right to ask a child to alter or change their costume.
